An original Pontiac hood ornament used on Chieftain 6 & 8 model cars manufactured in the solo year 1951. This ornament was made by the BLC Company in 1951. The casting mark is ‘514855 BLC’. The ornament is ~18.5” long. This hood ornament is in excellent condition and displays very well. It is straight - not bent, broken or repaired. The face and headdress are not chipped or dented. The chrome is deep, luxurious and has a beautiful shine. There is some light ‘micro bubbling’ in certain regions, a couple of chips, and also some light scratches and so it isn’t perfect. Nevertheless, it is still a great example of a ‘51 Pontiac mascot. Overall, this is a beautiful 1951 hood ornament that would make a great addition to your restoration project or Pontiac automobilia collection.
