PIONEER CTF1050, NEEDS REPAIR PINS WITH WEAK SPINNING BUY IT AS PARTS See description Pioneer CT-F1050 Rare 2 Motor Autoreverse Stereo Cassette tape Deck, Vintage 1980, Good look, possibly serviced in 1987. REMOTE CONTROL (WIRED)– INCLUDED- MODEL JT-216 Original Operating Instructions and a card for random access music selection, included PINS SPINNING BUT WHEN A CASSETTE INSERTED, THEY ARE NOT SPINNING ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS SEEM OK, more info below DIGITAL COUNTER – YOU CAN SEE A PROBLEM IN THE LAST DIGIT. A small bottom line does not appear. PLEASE NOTE that when pressing "play" or FW or RW button there is an effort by the wheel to spin, it starts but stops so this makes the digital counter to start counting a bit, it goes for example from 0 to 1 or to 6 so this shows you this counter works yet there must be a repair. When the FF button is pressed and no cassette is inserted in the compartment, the counter works well, it counts normally. Counter resets fine. I am sure specialists know how to fix this, several videos in youtube for fixing the counters, but i have no idea if finally the counter needs replacement. THIS MUST BE BOUGHT AS IS / AS PARTS / AS NON WORKING / AS DEFECTIVE / AS NEEDS REPAIR ONLY Has not been tested (since with a cassette it does not work, pins not spinning, how then to test it?). Also sound and recording can't be tested. All buttons/switches work well, all buttons can be pressed and return to the original positions, or turn right/left Cassette compartment works well, opens and closes well. All lights work well. Light inside cassette compartment works well (see photo) Reverse works well. Auto reverse in both Record and Playback, not many 3-head decks capable of that. Remote control works like a charm !, also here when pressing play or FF the pins try to spin. When I press the play button (without a cassette inside), I notice the head coming up (inside the cassette compartment), when I press the stop, the head comes down. When I press the play button and the direction is in reverse, I can hear a noise for some seconds (same or similar noise when you press the play button in the norman direction towards to the right) and then it stops. When I turn the switch to :program" or "repeat" then the counter numbers go away, when I switch back to "PMS" or "program clear" the counter numbers appear again. When I switch to "repeat" and I press the "check " button, then the "side A" and "memory" red lights appear. When I press the "check" button then the second digit on the counter appears and when I press the up button the fourth digit appears. When I press the memory button the side A or B red lights flash. Please check the photos and the photo of the back that shows some labels with some tech info Cosmetically in good condition, some signs of age/use (since 1980's!), a few typical scratches in the sides (see photos) The front panel has been cleaned to the best possible extend The remote control has some yellow marks possibly from dried very old rubber on it, please see photos To avoid misunderstandings you need to buy this as parts/not working only ! If your test proves successful, then this will be a wonderful surprise for you.This is not porcelain that you just take photo before shipment and when it arrives at destination you just check visually if there is any damage. This is electronics with unknown conditions (moisture levels, static electricity, different electricity voltage tensions, whatever) during shipment and use at final destination, so to repeat, you need to buy this as parts/not working. I am not an electronics specialist, this is addressed mainly to hobbyists/enthusiasts or to those who buy/refurbish/resell these yet anyone else who just loves it would not be excluded. I did not open the item inside, expect some dust there logically after all these years Serial number: AI9301381 (see pictures) Original packing: Not included Origin: Japan, this was actually bought in Japan in Osaka or Yokohama by a Greek merchant mariner, bought some time between 1980-1984. Other technical info: I do not know, please find relevant information on the web, please check the photos showing the back with some info. Possibly serviced in 1987, you see a label on the back of it dated 1987, The price asked is very good, If you search on google you will find parts only for more than 200-250 USD !!. You can find parts only without any simple test and with some buttons missing about 130 USD Both above mentioned sometimes without remote control and manual. The working ones score by far more than 300-400 USD even reach 500 USD You also get the manual (it sells online for 10-20 USD) The manual in some pages has very small signs of use, it is not in mint condition, however it is in good condition. The package is too big for my scale ( a household one), so maybe I do not have a very accurate reading, grossw eight must be between 13,8 Kgs (~30.5 lbs) to 14,1 Kgs. I will need to assume it is 14,1 Kgs (~31.1 lbs). scale is commercial, non laboratory, possible deviation ~ +-2% Item is already packed to measure gross weight and then calculate shipment rates.
