Maker: Mappin Brothers. The candlesticks have a removable top for cleaning purpose. These vintage silver-plated candlesticks ornate Rococo Revival style holders. Excellent Condition! Gorgeous!!! * The mark featured a crown, a Maltese cross, and "MB&S". * Origin: From Sheffield, England, dating from mid to late 19th to early 20th century. * Design: Rococo Revival style featuring elaborate floral and foliate scroll motifs (rocailles) on the baluster-shaped stem and cartouche-shaped bases. * Material: Likely silver-plated over brass or copper, exhibiting patina consistent with age. When I received this package the box was pretty banged up. One corner of it was actually ripped. I was afraid my cake plate would be broken but instead it was wrapped up nice and snug in its paper cocoon! Perfect condition! The plate is exactly as described. The shipping was timely even though the carrier wasn't very attentive to all the fragile stickers. I would encourage purchasing from this seller because their packaging skills are ninja.
