Each of our ACEO Cards are one-of-a-kind giclee canvas prints from the original paintings. Each one is hand-embellished by the artist - with hand painted details, signature, year created, and a numbering system that is "1/1" meaning that just one single card of that image exists in the edition. An edition of "one" if you will! Nobody else will ever have one! A lot of work goes into each one - a teeny-tiny brush is used to embellish, add highlights, additional details, signature, date, number #1/1, etc. In addition, the backside of each ACEO card is handwritten by the artist with the card & artist info to provide proof of authenticity.. About the Artist: Originally from Liverpool, England and now residing in Julian,CA, David Van Gough has been working as a professional artist since 1995. Utilizing deep symbolism, a sense of mortality, in a sometimes surreal and beautiful setting, his work interweaves personal history with the literary, the esoteric with the mythical, imbuing his work with an emotional and spiritual excavation for purpose and enlightenment in the darkest places. An honoree Artist of 2010 at the San Diego Art Institute, and recipient of the Pacific modern art award, his work has been hosted in a succession of solo and featured showcases on both sides of the Atlantic, including major exhibits at the Oceanside Museum of Art,(SD) Stephen Romano gallery (NY), Copro and Gregorio Escalante gallery (LA) Bash Contemporary (SF) and Dark Art Emporium in Long Beach. His Hyaena gallery exhibit Man/son and the haunting of the American Madonna was featured as part of the critically acclaimed documentary Serial Killer Culture by John Borowski, now streaming on Amazon Prime. In 2019, his work was used as the design for the official Uncanny trophy award for the Phenomena horror cine festival in São Paulo.
