Pioneer SX-580 Vintage Stereo Receiver, Fully Serviced, Excellent Condition.. Up for sale is one beautiful unit. A highly respected Pioneer SX-580, “Baby” Truly a 9.5 out of 10. This unit is fully serviced. Make no mistake I didn’t just throw a set of bulbs in it and clean it with Windex and call that a service. Every feature and function works like it should. AM, FM, Phono, and Aux inputs are perfect. I’ve put around 40 hours run time trials since the full refurbishment. Replaced the 3 known to go bad resistors in the power supply with durable metal film versions. Set the bias, AM and FM tuners. And the usual switch/pot clean with F5. Reapplied heat compound on the IC’s that tested out beautifully. Heated poly film walnut wrap recover looks amazing. New LED warm bulbs. This unit really punches way above its weight class. I have video of this thing on some highly efficient speakers, mind blowing what this thing can do. The Pioneer 50 and 80 series of Silver faced receivers are pound for pound the best receivers ever sold. The 80 series is just the coolest with the black VU-meters. It needs a new home to help fund my newest Pioneer monster project. The asking price is a bargain. This unit new today would be over $1300.00.
