Like other crops, cultivation of these fruits faces a number of challenges. These include the need to optimize yields, sensory and nutritional quality; the dynamic threats from biotic and abiotic stresses in a changing climate; and the need for more efficient use of resources to minimise environmental impact. The two volumes of Achieving sustainable cultivation of temperate zone tree fruits and berries summarise the wealth of research addressing these challenges. Volume 1 focusses on key advances across the value chain, from breeding improved varieties to better techniques for cultivation and crop protection. Part 1 discusses current research on physiology, genetics and breeding. Part 2 reviews advances in cultivation from orchard design to optimising water and nutrient management and harvesting operations. With its distinguished editor and international range of expert authors, this collection will be a standard reference for horticultural scientists, government and other research centres and companies involved in cultivation of the range of temperate fruits. 1. I've ordered from Rarewaves here in the US and the UK multiple times, and continue to do so. They always seem to have something I can't find anywhere else at all or for a reasonable price. When I purchase used items, they are as described, if not a grade better. Aways a quick turnaround after ordering, every item arrives promptly, professionally packaged. Many orders have free shipping, even for solitary item orders. I never needed a reason to communicate, as I've had no cause. Recommended.

  2. Item arrived still wrapped as advertised but it must have taken some damage in transit since it arrived with a couple cracks and a small chunk of the frame of the case had completely detached. BUT the discs were still undamaged so I messaged the seller to tell them I was still going to keep the item I just wanted to let them know about the issue and they messaged me back and offered me 20% off the order to make up for the inconvenience. Great seller. Would purchase from them again.

  3. The book was brand still plastic wrapped. Looks exactly like the picture for a reasonable price including shipping. In perfect condition. Shipping was slow and I was worried that I was scammed again. Seller did respond to my message after a day and explained the item would be shipped within a week. The item shipping and tracking was updated by the date they stated. Took about 2 weeks to receive item. I’m usually impressed when item is shipped and received within a week.
