Wolberg: Dr. Lewis R. Wolberg was a psychoanalyst, founder and former chairman of the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. The Postgraduate Center is the oldest low-cost psychiatric clinic in New York City. Dr. Wolberg also founded the center to aid World War II veterans. Now the center provides outpatient and inpatient services, resident training and community health care. He was born in Odessa in the Ukraine; Graduated from University of Rochester and Tufts College Medical School; T rained at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute and was certified by the American Institute for Psychoanalysis in 1943. He wrote books, taught and practiced Psychotherapy and Medical Hypnosis and was a respected leader in his field. Dr. Wolberg died February 3, 1988 of a heart attack. He was 82 years old. Condition Very Good Condition: Exterior shows wear commensurate with age and shelf storage, some foxing at top intersection of front/back cover and spine but overall very sound exterior.
