Description
I received this circa 1899-1908 Antique Russian Imperial Silver Button and wish to provide it with a new home. The initials on this piece appear to be "MU" right next to the "84" It's an antique so the color is slightly worn, as is the black paint on the front. rear button hole is also slightly warped as to be expected and I have adjusted the price accordingly. Dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century, these buttons were used on Russian Imperial uniforms, adding a touch of elegance and distinction. Typically crafted from high-quality silver, often featuring a "spool silver" standard indicated by the number "84" (denoting 84% silver content). Designs might include the iconic double-headed eagle, a symbol of the Russian Empire, or other intricate patterns.
