Rare Vintage Long Merino Wool Artist Cape Unisex Velvet Lining Casa Sesena 1901. Amazing, rare find Casa Seseña Spanish unique artisan full length cape. Jet black wool and red velvet panels on each side of front interior. Ornate hook closure in front. Their capes are still handmade after more than 100 years. Very good vintage condition. Bust, waist, and hips are free due to the open front. Neck: approximately 5 1/2” across Length: 41” top to bottom. Wears and presents well and the merino wool is from sheep native to Spain and is of hefty quality. Cape weighs approximately 8 pounds. Casa Seseña is a family run company for four generations and has been in existence in the same location since 1901. Their capes are still handmade after more than 100 years. Their capes have adorned notable figures such as Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso, and even Kings of Spain. Pictures with model is for reference only , with similar cape from the compan y but longer.
