Fitment: This 0887718 Retrofit kit is used to repair the Series 800M4 Pressure Vacuum Breaker (leaking or malfunctioning), also designed to convert a regular 800M4 to a freeze resistant (FR) version (Convert 1" 800M4-QT to 800M4-FR) Features: 1) The only difference between 800M4-QT and 800M4-FR is the vent float. The FR version has a stem in the center with a spring and a "BB" like ball that allows for expansion 2) No need any complicated tools to install the kit. Firstly, shut off the supply pressure and drain the valve. Secondly, remove the two hood screws and the hood. Thirdly, turn counter clockwise to remove the bonnet. And then remove the vent spring and vent assembly. Finally, reassemble in the reverse order utilizing the new parts from the repair kit 3) Designed for user-friendly installation, this kit allows you to easily convert your device by yourself, saving you time and service costs 4) While the kit provides freeze-resistance, remember to drain and winterize your device in freezing conditions.
