I have 2 of these beautiful dinner plates available in great vintage condition! They both seem to have their original shine and I’ve tried to capture that in the pictures. I don’t see usage scratches and they appear to be displayed only. This Buy it now is for one plate unless you choose the option to buy 2. I have included the back pictures of plate 2 in the pictures. The front is the same but back has different dark black markings 61 and 4. This is a lovely vintage Pekin Chintz dinner plate with beautiful hand-painted details. The yellow, red and green colors really pop on the crisp black background. The plate comes from Royal Winton/Grimwades, made in England in 1951. The manufacturing date is impressed on back and the back stamp reads Royal Winton Grimwades Made in England 1-53, as pictured, Pekin Hand Painted. The plate is 10.5 in round and made of Earthenware with a Pekin Chintz pattern and gold gilding around the scalloped edge. The Grimwade Bros began making the Royal Winton Ware as early as 1897 and incorporated in 1900. This plate is a mid-20th century original production and is a great addition to any collection.
