It's amazing how many motifs are generously introduced, including various techniques for making traditional mittens. In addition to the typical Selbou mittens motifs such as stars and roses, the geometric patterns used on the palm side, Includes many continuous patterns for cuffs, thumb gussets, and both sides of mittens. We provide detailed explanations with photos and designs of actual mittens. The second half of the book features all 35 classic patterns created by great Selbou mitten knitters, along with knitting diagrams. You can also try knitting the thumb gusset, which is a feature of Selbou mittens, with all mittens. In the Japanese version, we have added explanations of stitch symbols and supplementary points where patterns are inserted to the simple knitting diagram of the original version. At the end of the book, there is a chart for children, a chart for women, and a chart for men that allow you to make your own original mittens. This book is not only a practical technical book on knitting, but also includes information on the history of Selbou mittens and the life dramas of past knitters. It is also a reading material that gives you a glimpse. When I look at the work again after reading it, I find it even more appealing.
