Namaste and Welcome to my Gallery!!! All of the paintings and arts in my gallery are originally handmade and hand-painted by my family members and other local artists who have been practicing their craft for over two decades. My father is Master Artists Nepal with an experience of more than four decades; you can see some of his work in this Gallery. Also you can see some of the beautiful and soulful artwork of talented local artists from Himalayas. ~~Shakyamuni Buddha Thangka~~ Silk brocading is a process of framing a Thangka in traditional Tibetan style. The frame is made of beautiful silk fabric having rich colors and patterns. The silk fabric protects the edges of the Thangka, and also makes it easier to hang. A thin silk cover protects the painting when rolled, and may be gathered up to display the painting when hung on the wall. It is generally thought that silk brocade renders a Thangka more attractive and more religious. Gautam Buddha, also often referred to as Shakyamuni, was a spiritual teacher upon whose lessons the foundations for Buddhism were formed. He is regarded as the Supreme Buddha and is the first enlightened individual to be visualized. Despite some confusion from those who do not follow Buddhism, it is important to note that the Buddha was not considered to be a God. He was rather a mere human, like the rest of us, who was able to develop an extraordinary perception about existence. This perception helped him to rid his mind of the things that cause us all a level of suffering; craving, hatred, and delusion. This, in turn, helped him to attain levels of true peace and contentment – and remain free from the suffering of sentient beings.
