If you press the button it makes the screen go dark/glitchy, press any other button and it goes back to normal. What I know is that the stopwatch works, I was able to set time/date. I do not know about beach tide data or heat timer. When I replaced the battery the gasket was fine and I added silicone to it. I do not know how waterproof it is, not tested. It is pre-owned, has light general wear as shown in photos. Cool watch if you know what to do with it.
