Lot of 3 Sherlock Holmes deluxe illustrated hardcover books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, and two novels in one A Study in Scarlet / The Hound of the Baskervilles. All books are in very good condition. Issued by the Reader’s Digest Association as part of their The World’s Best Reading series, two of the book include the publisher’s notes (Adventures and Memoirs). Covers and spines are solid and tight; faux leather spines and marbled covers have gilt lettering and impressions. There is light edge and corner handling wear. The Adventures has a scuff and small mark on the back cover, Study in Scarlett has a small rub at the base of the front cover. There is a book plate inside the front of A Study in Scarlett.
