Description
Namaste and Welcome to my Gallery!!! All of the paintings and arts in my gallery are originally handmade and hand-painted by my family members and other local artists who have been practicing their craft for over two decades. My father is Master Artist from Nepal with an experience of more than four decades; you can see some of his work in this Gallery. Also you can see some of the beautiful and soulful artwork of talented local artists from Himalayas. ~~ Buddha Shakti Thangka~~ Silk brocading is a process of framing a Thangka in traditional Tibetan style. The frame is made of beautiful silk fabric having rich colors and patterns. The silk fabric protects the edges of the Thangka, and also makes it easier to hang. A thin silk cover protects the painting when rolled, and may be gathered up to display the painting when hung on the wall. It is generally thought that silk brocade renders a Thangka more attractive and more religious. Buddha Shakti is deep blue in color, symbolizing the sky or emptiness of mind. Samantabhadri or buddha’s consort is white in color, symbolizing the aspect of the clarity of our mind. The male female of Adi Buddha in union depict the unity of emptiness and cognizance. Samantabhadri is completely nude and while not ornaments symbolizing that she is free from all thought constructs. It means that enlightenment can be realized only when we are free from thought constructs and one perceives the empty nature of the mind directly.
