If you’re converting from drum brakes, the original drum brake spindles require that the upper threaded boss be machined to remove approximately .610” and often the hole needs to be drilled and tapped deeper. There’s just not enough room for these 11” rotors and OE calipers inside a 14” wheel, so 15” or larger wheels that were designed to work with disc brakes must be used.
