The Starter Kit Plus contains 25 FinCaps, 25 FinStands and 25 Base Plates. Threaded rods sold separately. FinCap The patented, non-metallic FinCap fits on the ½” x 13 threaded rod which is secured to the FinStand. The FinCap supports a nominal 1-1/2″ (40 mm) – schedule 40 or higher – galvanized pipe (1.5″ ID/1.9″ OD). FinStand The FinStand is made of impact resistant material and is virtually unbreakable. The FinStand supports with a 1/2″ all-thread. The stand can be adjusted 1.75″ (45 mm) using a nut and washer to accommodate any variation in the deck. See the chart below for rod length needed for the desired floor depth. The “fins” inside the barrel hug the rebar or stake so it will not bounce off during placement. Base Plate 4.5 The Base Plate 4.5 is used with the FinStand to expand the uses of the system to vapor barriers, concrete overlay, rock or sand plus any other type of substructure. The FinStand snaps and securely locks into the Base Plate. The assembly can be secured into place either by using screws, nails, construction glue or other adhesives. The Base Plate is made of impact resistant material and is virtually unbreakable. The bottom of the Base Plate is textured to easily grip adhesives for extra staying power. It also provides a suitable surface for patching when used in tilt-up applications. The stay-in-place form can be easily setup by inserting a 1/2″ (13 mm) rod between the bottom of the FinStand and Base Plate 4.5. Use the Driver with the FinCap Screed Chairs to provide accurate setup every time. All-Thread, hex nuts and flat washers are sold separately. Starter Kit Plus provides enough supports for approximately 750 sf (70m2) spaced 3 to 4 feet (1 meter) apart. Use on vapor retarders and barriers, elevated wood or metal secks, suspended slabs, concrete overlays, and sand. The FinCaps supports 1-1/2″ (40 mm) Pipe (1.5″ ID/1.9″ OD). A 1-1/4” or 2” pipe may also be used. Minimum height using a 1-1/2” ID pipe from the bottom of the Base Plate to the finished elevation of concrete is 4-3/4” (120 mm). The FinStand supports the FinCap screed chair with a 1/2″ x 13 threaded rod. The stand can be adjusted 1-3/4″ (45 mm) to accommodate any variation in the deck. Use a nut and washer for fine tuning. See the chart below for rod size needed for the desired floor depth. The FinStand securely snaps into Base Plate and is textured to grip adhesives and will not puncture vapor barrier or membranes. The setup is fast and easy. Insert a 1/2″ (13 mm) rod between the bottom of the FinStand and Base Plate and space 3 to 4 feet (1m) apart. Insert the threaded rod, nut, washer and Screed Chair once the bases are in place. The stay-in-place forms are designed to stay in the slab and are corrosion resistant, even in extreme environments. They are non-metal and non-conductive which makes the chairs perfect for bridge decks, waterways, and power plants. DOT approved in most states. Made in USA
The seller was incredibly responsive & the package arrived the next day; securely wrapped. The item was well-packaged and the appearance of the item was brand-new, clean; exactly as expected. The seller was great & but will use again. However, the pen’s quality was poor; making the value wasteful. More $ spent compensating for the cheap, unstable, poorly designed plastic pen. My dog is 14 lbs & easily made the square shape diamond shape easily. No info given when asked. Buy base for wood floors!
