Description
This is a lovely handmade Studio Pottery jug and cup set made to look like an owl when stacked together with the cup handle forming the beak. The set has a dark brown background glaze and a slipware like pattern applied in speckled shades of brown, the body seems to be a form of stoneware so is hardwearing. This was commissioned by my mother and was designed to sit on a bedside table for pouring water during the night. The jug measures 5" (13cm) high, the cup is 3" (8cm) high and the total combined height is 6.5" (16.5cm). The set is not marked and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and is a lovely fun item.
