The battery here in this one is very much new and it should last you no less than the upcoming two years. It is a chronograph. All that simply means is that it has the features of a stop watch. Click on the top pusher and the time begins, to run. Whatever it is you wish to measure, you'll know how long you've been doing it right after you press it again. The bottom pusher is merely to reset. I have with it the booklet manual and the box.
