About the Author- About The Author: William Hook Morley (1815–1860) was an English barrister and orientalist, known for his significant contributions to Arabic and Persian manuscript studies. Morley gained recognition in 1838 for discovering a lost manuscript of Rashid-al-Din Hamadani's Jami' al-tawarikh. His key works include Digest of Cases Decided in the Supreme Courts of India (1849–50) Catalogue of the Historical Manuscripts (1854), and his edited volume of History of the Atábeks of Syria and Persia (1848).
