Description
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. With an Introduction and Notes by Keith Wren, University of Kent at Canterbury. The story of Edmund Dantes, self-styled Count of Monte Cristo, is told with consummate skill. The victim of a miscarriage of justice, Dantes is fired by a desire for retribution and empowered by a stroke of providence. In his campaign of vengeance, he becomes an anonymous agent of fate. The sensational narrative of intrigue, betrayal, escape, and triumphant revenge moves at a cracking pace. Dumas' novel presents a powerful conflict between good and evil embodied in an epic saga of rich diversity that is complicated by the hero's ultimate discomfort with the hubristic implication of his own actions.
Good value and securely packed . Are of good quality and arrived fresh. Order arrived in 2 days, which was very quick. We used to eat these many years ago with our evening coffee but they disappeared from the markets. Was surprised to find them on EBay and they taste the same as they did years ago. We will definitely be ordering more!
I am particularly fond of rhinestone spacers. These are quite pretty, in great condition and definitely appear new. Like my other review, my only disappointment was waiting 9 days without my beads shipping, then needing to outreach to the seller. The seller never communicated back, but did ship my beads after I outreached.
Item arrived exactly as shown in the photographs and pretty fast too. It was packaged very nicely and seller was very responsive and helpful with the questions I had. Definitely buy from again. A+++
