Description

Set of Three eye catching hand-painted ceramic owl planters in the style of Mexican Talavera pottery (or similar majolica-style folk art from regions like Puebla or Dolores Hidalgo). They feature vibrant, multicolored floral and geometric patterns typical of this tradition—bold blues, reds, yellows, greens, oranges, and more on a glazed earthenware body. True certified Talavera uses only six specific colors (blue, yellow, black, green, orange, mauve) on a milky-white base glaze and comes from designated areas in Puebla, Mexico. Many popular “Talavera-style” pieces (like these appear to be) use a broader palette and freer designs, making them high-quality handmade Mexican ceramics but not strictly authentic regulated Talavera. Excellent Condition $385.00 OBO
