Tony Lama Men’s 10.5 Treebark K.T. Cowboy Boots VTG 1986 Read Description The important part. You must know how to take care of leather. These sat in a closet call it 40 years. The leather MUST be treated, conditioned, made soft and flexible again if you plan on wearing these. If you were to wear these right out of the box, you will destroy them. They will come apart. I took these into a local saddle shop. Guy said the leather is good, but it must shown a lot of love until proper. It will be several treatments. These boots were worn for a few weeks. You can see in the pictures they have some rub marks and creasing marks from them being worn. They still have the care instructions tag on them. The fun part. These are 1 of 4 pairs of boots (That all must be treated) I have that were all purchased at the same time back in 1986. I got them from the family. Story goes the sister that I got the boots from got them from her sister whose husband and her wanted to start a ranch. They bought one. Then these boots in August. She had to leave back to the city. He stayed behind, got animals, figured out they can be rather difficult, sold them and the ranch moved back to the city, and she never even got to wear her boots. All this happened in a matter of weeks. Sat in her sisters closet since. He wore his, one has a cut in it, barbed wire I'd bet. The store they were purchased at went out of business in 1998. Hearing the story was absolutely priceless. I see a lot of vintage boots listed, very few can tell you the month and year they were purchased with the box still. Probably the only time I will be able to. These 4 sets of boots are a rare find. I put a price in, no idea if it's accurate for value. You all tell me. I don't want them back destroyed so please know what you are doing with old dry leather before you bid. Thank you.
