Stainless steel wind guards attach magnetically to the bottom of the griddle and hold nicely. I live in a high wind area, especially in the afternoons (dinner). The griddle heats up more quickly and seemingly more evenly than without them. You can also position them to vary the rate of heat flow from under the griddle. I'm quite happy with the results.
