Description
Original Westphal’s Auxiliator for the Hair – “Original” barber bottle, produced by Paul Westphal Incorporated , New York. This is a large one-pint barber trade bottle, dating to approximately 1910–1930, used behind the chair rather than sold as a small retail bottle. Details: Mold-blown clear glass with tooled finish Embossed “PAUL WESTPHAL – NEW YORK” on base Original green front paper label (very good for age) Back label present but faded, still readable Marked 55% alcohol Cap present Measures approx. 9” tall Condition: No cracks or chips. Normal age haze and residue inside. Labels show expected wear for a bottle over 100 years old, with the front label remaining strong and attractive for display. Historical note: Westphal’s Auxiliator was a popular early 20th-century hair dressing and shampoo substitute used in professional barbershops. Bottles of this size were kept on the counter or shelf, making labeled examples increasingly hard to find intact. Guaranteed original antique — not a reproduction. See photos for exact condition.
