This vintage E.O. Brody Co. emerald green ribbed glass bowl from Cleveland, Ohio, is a decorative piece with a ribbed outside and smooth inside. It measures 2.5 inches in height, 6.5 inches in diameter. The bowl is perfect for various uses. The E.O. Brody Company was founded in 1958 by Ernest Oscar Brody, also known as EO, in Cleveland, Ohio : Founding Brody started the company with four flower vases made by US glass manufacturers using molds marked with the company name. Growth The company sold inexpensive, mass-produced vases, bowls, and flower pots in a variety of colors, including milk glass, green glass, brown glass, and clear glass with a red painted surface. Mergers and acquisitions In 1971, Lancaster Colony Corporation of Columbus, Ohio took over the company. In 1988, E.O. Brody merged with Lancaster Colony's housewares division. In 2007, Indiana Glass and E.O. Brody were bought from Lancaster Colony and merged with Anchor Hocking.
