Description
This Victorian bar brooch features a cloak chain with a ball stick pin, embodying antique charm and vintage style. Its green main stone color and original Victorian era design make it a unique and elegant addition to any woman's fashion jewelry collection. A fabulous example of a Victorian cloak pin beautifully crafted. Many from this era are fashioned from Rose Gold, but we haven't cleaned this up enough to make that claim. The dimensional rectangular box pin features a intricately engraved and textured pattern on the top surface. Two raised flat round 'buttons' embellish the design. The main pin is attached to a heavy duty pin with a ball top. They are connected with a heavy duty chain. The stick is steel for strength. All original and in excellent condition with minimal wear. Definitely would benefit from a good cleaning. It closes with a wide safety pin type C catch. The bar pin measures 1.75" by .375" by .25", the stickpin is 3" total, the ball has a diameter of .375" and the chain is 7.25" long. Excellent condition, no damage and minimal wear. The stick has a slight curve which is indicative of use. A fine example of a Victorian cloak pin clasp c1850-70.
