This pretty piece was my grandmothers… I don’t know anything about jewelry. But let me describe what I see. I think the piece looks nice. It has light where when you look at it very closely but that’s to be expected but overall it looks very pretty. It’s probably an antique from the Victorian times but I’m not 100% sure. In my opinion it looks like gold… Real gold but it is most likely gold plated… That’s usually what these things are… But it does have a pretty gold look to it. And it’s definitely unmistakably antique looking because it is an antique. The pin functions nicely and catches on the clasp nicely. Speech recognition is driving me crazy… They get the word right and then they change the word… Sometimes to a swearword… And they don’t understand the word wear … It’s enough to drive me crazy but every time I use that word it comes out where. You see? It did it… Stupid speech recognition. Having said that… Make sure you look at all the pictures because this item will arrive to you exactly as pictured packed with care. In my opinion it’s pretty. Usable. Could use a cleaning maybe but looks nice. Thanks, John
