Vtg 1950's Milk Glass Bird on Nest|Westmoreland Pedestal Robin On Nest|Milk Glass Covered Bird Container H 6" Height 6" x Width 6" x Depth 5 1/2" This is an amazing example of 1950's pressed glass. That era produced some unprecedented glass work with the milk glass containing minute particles of gold so it glistens orange and red in the sunlight. The mold here is heavily detailed as you can see in the pictures provided. The bird and nest show great detail. It is a lidded container which would be perfect on a festive table with relish or your favorite condiment, or to contain your jewelry, change or soap in your guest Powder Room. This Robin on her nest is perched atop a simulated branch which is the pedestal to the piece. The "W" Westmoreland glassmakers mark is present here on the inside of the lid.
