Description
Description Made in 1980. Used by Masayoshi Takanaka and Issei Noro, this is a classic instrument that cannot be left out of Japanese fusion. This is a mid-range SG1000. It has a maple top, mahogany back body, and a three-piece neck made of mahogany and maple. Its unique shape is like a Les Paul with symmetrical cutaways, and it has excellent playability at the high frets. The fat, smooth tone has a well-balanced overall impression and is a typical Yamaha sound. The tone knob can be coil tapped with push/push, and the range of sound shaping is also excellent. There are some signs of use such as dents, scratches, and dull parts. The frets were filed down at our PLEK, and the string height was set at 6th string: 1.65mm - 1st string: 1.38mm at the 12th fret. The frets are low, with about 50-60% remaining (especially the high frets on the 6th string side). The frets were low, so there is a slight high rise after the 19th fret on the 6th string side, but the sustain is slightly weaker than in other positions. The nut has plenty of room. The truss rod is a little tight in the tightening direction. Comes with a genuine hard case.
