Vintage 1985 Nike Air Vortex Made USA Blue Gold Men’s 10 OG Display Shoes. Model: Air Vortex. Era: 1980s / circa 1985. Rare vintage Nike Air Vortex running shoes, made in the USA, men’s size 10. Beautiful blue, white, and metallic gold colorway with classic Nike Air tongue labels, Nike Air heel branding, original waffle-style outsoles, original insoles, and what appear to be the original laces. These are true vintage Nike runners from the golden era of Nike’s 1980s running-shoe boom. Nike began as Blue Ribbon Sports, founded by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman, before becoming the company now known worldwide as Nike. Pieces like this show the early design language that helped build the brand: lightweight mesh, suede overlays, bold Swoosh branding, reflective accents, and old-school Nike Air details. Important condition note: these are being sold for display/collection only. They are NOT wearable. The midsoles show age-related dry rot and should be considered unstable. Please do not purchase with the intention of wearing them. Condition is vintage pre-owned with age, discoloration, staining, oxidation, fading, and general storage wear throughout.
