Description

This vintage six-piece set of Bagley Art Deco bowls and dessert dishes from the 1930s features a swirl pattern in vibrant green Carnival Uranium glass. Made in England, these round bowls are perfect for all occasions and showcase the Art Deco style popular during the early 20th century. The set includes a dessert bowl and five fruit dishes, all produced using pressed glass techniques. This original set by Bagley is a beautiful addition to any collection and captures the essence of the 1930s era. Full Description Luminous Art Deco Elegance This stunning 6-piece dessert set is a quintessential example of British Art Deco design. Crafted in a vibrant translucent green, the set consists of one large master serving bowl and five matching individual dessert dishes. Each piece features a sophisticated radial "ribbed" pattern that captures and refracts light beautifully. Historical Context & Interest Produced by Bagley & Co. of Knottingley, Yorkshire, during the 1930s , this set represents the height of affordable luxury in the inter-war period. Bagley was renowned for its high-quality "pressed" glassware and was a leader in the British glass industry. Notably, this specific green hue is highly sought after by collectors as Uranium Glass (sometimes called "Vaseline Glass"). The addition of small amounts of uranium dioxide gives the glass its distinctive glow under UV (blacklight). This "glow-in-the-dark" property, combined with the iconic geometric forms of the Deco era, makes Bagley greenware a staple of mid-century and antique glass collections. Technical Specifications Manufacturer: Bagley & Co. (Knottingley, England). Era: 1930s (Art Deco). Material: Uranium / Green Depression Glass. 1. All Good. As described, Great Value, Postage was reasonable but one thing I would mention, although it was well packed. These cheaper delivery services like Evri etc have a habit of leaving said Item on doorstep and in todays delivery it was left in the rain without a door knock. One thing I'd like to point out is it might be preferable to put the garment in a plastic bag before wrapping in brown paper. No fault of the vendor but if it wasn't going straight in the wash it could have ruined.

  2. I was honestly nervous to place this order since it was shipping all the way from the UK to the US, but I am SO glad I did. My dream Pyrex set arrived safely, beautifully packaged, and exactly as described—if not better. Every piece was in perfect condition, with such care clearly put into packing and shipping. This set is everything I hoped for and more, and I couldn’t be happier. I would absolutely order again without hesitation. Thank you for making a longtime Pyrex dream come true! 💙

  3. A+++++. Absolutely fantastic item, sold my a brilliant lady. Had issues with Evri failing to deliver twice. Was reposted through Royal Mail and received. Great communication from seller. Brilliant product. Exactly as described. Packaged immensely. Apart from Evri's failures this purchase was probably the best I've ever made in terms of communication, packaging, etc.
