Description

Vintage stunning extra-long Bakelite and Lucite beaded necklace. Assorted beads in various shapes: round, tomato, little-square, and ovoid, some with carving. Mix and match of very classy colors, magenta red, purple plum, mouse gray contrasted with white Lucite beads. Hangs very nicely around the neck. No closing clasp, vintage link, still very safe to wear. Vintage beads from the 1950s, this necklace was rebuild in the early 1980s. Please check the last picture, similar necklaces have been pictured in the famous Fashion Magazine ELLE, UK, and French issues. Excellent vintage condition. Dimensions: Total length is 44.69 in. (113.5 cm) - The drop is 20.88 in. (53 cm). 75 beads in total - the largest width is 0.94 in. (2.3 cm). This necklace has tested positive for vintage traditional Bakelite for its Bakelite beads: yellow residue on the Q-tip when using 409 and Simichrome polish + distinctive vintage Bakelite aroma when using warm running water or rubbing test.
