This is a beautifully crafted pair of vintage Chinese blue-and-white porcelain bookends featuring seated scholar monkey figures reading books. Each piece is hand-painted in traditional cobalt blue with floral and calligraphy designs. Both bookends include artist/production stamps on the underside. A wonderful decorative set for collectors of Asian art, porcelain, or unique home dΓ©cor. Condition: Both bookends are in good vintage condition with no major chips or cracks. Light surface wear, scuffing and discoloration from age. The hand-painted details remain intact and clear. Very good quality of both the slipcase, cover, and the actual discs with the DVD set. The condition overall is excellent. Arrived within six days of placing the order. Shipped in a padded envelope and was then wrapped in bubble wrap wrapped in shipping paper, and then placed in an item fitting box. Fantastic price and good overall appearance.
