grandpa don’s mostly movados Make/Model/Serial Number: Vintage Boccia Men's Titanium Watch, Silver Dial, Luminous Hands/ Model #3514 05. Description: This Boccia Watch is a beautiful casual or dress style model with a brushed silver grey dial and stick hands and hour markers. The date is shown in a small round window at six o’clock. Both the 40mm (diameter) case (w/o crown, 42 w/crown) and bracelet are made from titanium which is both strong and lightweight. The bracelet features a push-button clasp for easy on and off. The overall thinness of the watch is 7mm. Very thin indeed. The watch is powered by a Japanese quartz movement that is both reliable and accurate. Overall, it is a super handsome watch. Titanium is non-allergenic and very friendly to the skin. The buckle is also solid titanium. This watch would be an excellent addition to any watch collection or hard to beat for daily wear – I have an identical watch that I have worn daily for the past 15 years – and I specialize in Movado’s – just don’t tell anyone. Honestly, this is the most lightweight and comfortable watch I have ever owned – all at a very respectable price. This package also includes the Boccia manual and a handsome presentation/storage box - that unfortunately has seen its better days but it still makes for a nice protective item for this timepiece. GrandPa Don's Rating: 4 This watch is in excellent mechanical condition with a new battery placed in May 2025. Aesthetically Pleasing but it does have a number of light scratches on the caseback and a light scratch on the crystal, hard to see with the naked eye but it is there so needs to be mentioned. The case, bracelet and clasp are all in very nice condtion. Rating System: Keep in mind, light scratching is indicative to stainless steel – and can even be seen on a new watch when using a jeweler’s loop. If you are looking for it, you will see it. Using a jeweler’s loop and using the naked eye give two completely different visualizations. Refurbished watches are not perfect – but should look exceptionally pleasing to the naked eye – thus the rating system that I use: è A Rating of Three (3): some scratching will be visible to the naked eye. For example, deep scratches on the caseback are usually caused by an individual attempting to change a battery without the proper tools or experience. Although lightened through reconditioning, excising these completely could compromise the integrity of the case. è A Rating of Four (4): light scratching on the band and/or caseback may be visible to the new owner but most likely not to others. A condition just slightly below a four plus. è A Rating of Four-Plus (4+): minimal light scratching, if any, on the band or caseback may be present but likely not seen to the naked eye. Watches given this rating have been very lightly used and/or taken very good care by the previous owner. Could easily pass as a new watch. è A Rating of Five (5): The watch is either brand new and never been worn or lightly used but reconditioned with excellent results – any defects and/or scratches have been removed. Please Note: Although any distinction between a new watch and a reconditioned watch with a 5 rating is difficult to discern by the naked eye, we will always indicate if a five is a new or a reconditioned watch. Rest assured, I will never sell you a reconditioned watch as a new, unworn watch.
