This is a vintage 1960s chalkware musician couple , most likely made by Universal Statuary Corp. of Chicago. Each figure is solid plaster with a faux-wood hand-painted finish and felted bases, typical of Universal’s mid-century production. These were popular decorative pieces in the 1950s–60s and remain collectible today, especially as a matched pair.
