This fabulous vintage bolster cushion was made using a gorgeous century French chinoiserie cotton sateen backed in coordinating fabric and trimmed with the most joyful multi-colored tassels! I'm not sure of the date, perhaps 1980's?? It’s part of a matching set, including two large curtains—if you’d like to see the others, simply search my store for the words Gold Chinoiserie ~ The pattern is absolutely beautiful, with charming garden scenes of pagodas, elegant figures, bamboo trellises, and blooming peonies in shades of rose pink, green, gold, and blue on a soft golden ground. The color palette is rich and cheerful without being overpowering, and the cylindrical shape makes it ideal for a sofa, bench, or bed. The form inside comes with the purchase! It feels like synthetic It has a hidden button closure at the back and is sold as the cover only ~ no insert included, so you can fill it just as you like!
