grandpa don’s mostly movados Make/Model/Serial Number: Vintage Harley Davidson Watch, Blue Dial/Black Leather Band/ Model #HDDM107 Description: This is a very nice watch made by Harley Davidson. The watch is in excellent condition, battery changed in May 2025 which should provide years of trouble free service. The leather band is another issue. Although in generally very good condition for a used leather band, one end of the metal attachment on the band has come loose from it’s rivet. It can be repaired by a leather smith. If requested, I will be more than happy to replace this band for new black leather band – however, it will not be genuine Harley Davidson nor will it have the signature metal attachments (see pics). The silver Harley Davidson buckle is in perfect condition – free from wear marks, scratches, or general wear. The watch is water resistant up to 50 meters -however, as with any watch in which the battery has been changed, the factory seal is compromised and water resistance can no longer be guaranteed. It has a base metal bezel and stainless steel back. The model number is HDDM107. As mentioned, the battery was replaced in May and the watch is keeping perfect time. The dial of this watch is blue and has a raised HD eagle emblem in the center. The hands and indices are luminous and glow in the dark to make the time easier to read when riding in the dark. Arabic numerals are used on the quarter hours (e.g., 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock). Overall, this is a terrific vintage Harley Davidson watch, I enjoyed it on many-a-ride and hope the new buyer will have the same pleasure. GrandPa Don's Rating: 4 This watch is in excellent condition. Mechanical sound and Aesthetically Pleasing - this would make the perfect gift for yourself or that perfect man in your life. I have marked this down from a five to a four primarily due to the issue and wear on the black leather band. If it wasn't so unique I would have changed it out for a simple black leather band. Also there is a few light scratches on the caseback. Rating System: Keep in mind, light scratching is indicative to stainless steel – and can even be seen on a new watch when using a jeweler’s loop. If you are looking for it, you will see it. Using a jeweler’s loop and using the naked eye give two completely different visualizations. Refurbished watches are not perfect – but should look exceptionally pleasing to the naked eye – thus the rating system that I use: è A Rating of Three (3): some scratching will be visible to the naked eye. For example, deep scratches on the caseback are usually caused by an individual attempting to change a battery without the proper tools or experience. Although lightened through reconditioning, excising these completely could compromise the integrity of the case. è A Rating of Four (4): light scratching on the band and/or caseback may be visible to the new owner but most likely not to others. A condition just slightly below a four plus. è A Rating of Four-Plus (4+): minimal light scratching, if any, on the band or caseback may be present but likely not seen to the naked eye. Watches given this rating have been very lightly used and/or taken very good care by the previous owner. Could easily pass as a new watch. è A Rating of Five (5): The watch is either brand new and never been worn or lightly used but reconditioned with excellent results – any defects and/or scratches have been removed. Please Note: Although any distinction between a new watch and a reconditioned watch with a 5 rating is difficult to discern by the naked eye, we will always indicate if a five is a new or a reconditioned watch. Rest assured, I will never sell you a reconditioned watch as a new, unworn watch.
