Mass produced Japanese porcelain was hand painted quickly in the 1940s for World War two sailors and soldiers to bring home to their families. This set is marked on the bottom as being Maple Ware made in Japan. The glossy purple Lusterware finish adds to the beauty of the set as well as the hand painted flowers on each piece. This set has no damage. The teapot and sugar bowl both have lids and handles. The creamer also has a handle. The teapot measures 8.25 inches wide and 5 inches tall.
