grandpa don’s mostly movados Make/Model/Serial Number: Description: This stylish Movado Heritage Series Curviplan Watch is a stylish unisex timepiece featuring a curved rectangular design first introduced in the early to mid-20 th Century. The Movado Heritage Series Calendoplan was first introduced in 1950, however, the Curviplan was produced between 1926 and 1940 and featured a movement with a curved bridge . Today, this model captures the soul of the 20 th Century design with contemporary details. This timeless beauty is inspired by Movado archives and features a 29mm curved rectangular case of rich yellow gold ion-plated stainless steel framing a mother-of-pearl dial outfitted with Swiss Super-LumiNova® accents and a sweep second window at 6 o’clock. Refined Swiss Engineering , the quartz movement is powered by a battery which was replaced in May 2025 . Th is superb Swiss quartz movement provides precise timekeeping and requires minimal maintenance, making it a reliable and worry-free timepiece . Movado completed the design with a textured 21mm leather strap in classic silvery-gray with a matching yellow gold ion-plated stainless steel buckle. This package includes an authentic Movado Presentation Box, plus an outer protective box to insure safe storage. Mechanical sound and Aesthetically Pleasing - the band does have some "wear bends" from being stored in curved position - if the buyer requests, at no additional charge, I can change out this strap with a new strap without these bend marks. I cannot guarantee the same color or that the new strap would be a genuine Movado band. I can guarantee the strap will be genuine leather or if preferred, I may have an exotic strap that fits. Either way, with the new battery the beneficiary should enjoy years of trouble free service. Rating System: Keep in mind, light scratching is indicative to stainless steel – and can even be seen on a new watch when using a jeweler’s loop. If you are looking for it, you will see it. Using a jeweler’s loop and using the naked eye give two completely different visualizations. Refurbished watches are not perfect – but should look exceptionally pleasing to the naked eye – thus the rating system that I use: è A Rating of Three (3): some scratching will be visible to the naked eye. For example, deep scratches on the caseback are usually caused by an individual attempting to change a battery without the proper tools or experience. Although lightened through reconditioning, excising these completely could compromise the integrity of the case. è A Rating of Four (4): light scratching on the band and/or caseback may be visible to the new owner but most likely not to others. A condition just slightly below a four plus. è A Rating of Four-Plus (4+): minimal light scratching, if any, on the band or caseback may be present but likely not seen to the naked eye. Watches given this rating have been very lightly used and/or taken very good care by the previous owner. Could easily pass as a new watch. è A Rating of Five (5): The watch is either brand new and never been worn or lightly used but reconditioned with excellent results – any defects and/or scratches have been removed. Please Note: Although any distinction between a new watch and a reconditioned watch with a 5 rating is difficult to discern by the naked eye, we will always indicate if a five is a new or a reconditioned watch. Rest assured, I will never sell you a reconditioned watch as a new, unworn watch.
