Nippon used this mark as early as 1891 and up until 1911. Most of gold detail has worn off. DESCRIPTION : Lovely Nippon hand painted vanity dresser tray in excellent used condition. Vibrant floral motif. Marked with Maple Leaf and “Nippon Hand Painted” in blue on reverse. Nippon used this mark as early as 1891 and up until 1911. Items were imported by the Morimura Bros. during that time.CONDITION : No chips or cracks. Some surface scratching, commensurate with its age. Most of gold detail has worn off.
