Offering for sale, a beautiful vintage Noritake China, Round Serving Bowl with Lid. The Serving Bowl was made of fine porcelain in Japan. The pattern is Claire, or Pattern number 657, which was an active Noritake pattern from 1933-1941, and is discontinued. The Claire pattern features an ivory body with a gold trimmed rim and a golden brown band with white stylized leaves and light blue highlights. The wide inner band is a pale creamy yellow next to an innermost ivory circle with the gold, hand painted, mushroom style knob lid handle. The bowl has 2 scrolled handles that are painted gold. Take off the lid, and look inside the Bowl. There is a hand painted, small floral bouquet with multicolored flowers and leaves in the bottom. The Serving Bowl is 8-1/4” diameter and 5-1/4” tall with the Lid on. From handle to handle, the Serving Bowl is about 10-1/4” wide. You could use the Serving Bowl as a Tureen but the Lid is not notched for a serving spoon or ladle. Check out the photos. The vintage Noritake Serving Bowl is used. It’s in very good to excellent condition with no nicks, chips, worn paint, or staining or fading. I hope I look this good when I’m 90 years old! If you order (and pay) before 1 pm EST, your treasure, in well wrapped, recycled boxes, gets to the post office for the 3:30 truck pick-up!
