Description: 1973 Rolex Date 1512 Zephyr Oyster Perpetual Crosshair 14K Yellow Gold Wristwatch. In overall excellent condition. Oyster case has remained unpolished and the gold has developed an incredible warm hue. Case is fully hallmarked and stamped. Some light wear in keeping with age and usage. Original crystal has some markings. Original Tritium Champagne dial is great featuring nice warm lume plots. Hands and dial react to UV and fade rapidly at same pace, some light wear in keeping with age and usage. The Zephyr dial features a cross-hair style that divides the dial into four different sections. In addition to the dial the Zephyr features a unique bezel style not seen on other Rolex models, making the Zephyr model a favorite amongst collectors. Original date wheel is excellent. Caliber 1570 Oyster Perpetual movement is running and keeping time. This watch was awarded as a gift as described on the caseback for 19 years of service. The watch was as good or better than described and they were very prompt answering questions. The only hang up was with the authenticator, who screwed up the serial number on the card. This vendor was very helpful by contacting both the authenticator and eBay to get it corrected.
