Seattle Washington World's Fair Space Needle & City View Vintage Postcard 27623 This postcard captures the top of Seattle's Space Needle from a dramatic aerial perspective during the 1962 Seattle World's Fair, officially known as the Century 21 Exposition. The bold red paint of the Space Needle’s saucer-like top contrasts with the gray-blue sky and shimmering water below. Lake Union and the surrounding neighborhoods of Seattle are clearly visible, along with major streets and buildings. The back of the postcard is postmarked 1962 and includes a handwritten message mentioning cold and rainy weather during their visit to the fair and plans to continue on to Portland. This vintage card vividly illustrates Seattle’s futuristic vision as presented during the Century 21 Expo.
