Vintage Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back Marvel Super Special Magazine #16 1980. This Vintage Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back Marvel Super Special Magazine #16 from 1980 is in fair condition. The cover in particular shows use with minor creases in areas I tried to capture in the pics. The most agregious imperfection is the cover has separated from the bottom staple. Otherwise, I thumbed through the pages and found one small tear, pictured. As a teen, I used this magazine quite often, because we could not watch movies on demand back then. I noticed that the part where Luke has a vision of fighting Vader in the swamp, that he did not behead Vader in the comic version like he did in the movie.
