Description

This vintage Stihl 051AV chainsaw is being sold as is as pictured for parts or repairs only. I can lift the saw by the starter handle and pick it up without it falling to the ground ( Old Guy Compression test ). The saw fired with a prime to the carburetor but would only stay running if I messed with the choke. It has been in storage for a long time, not being used. This was a saw I took in on a trade for some other saws years ago, and I never messed with it. The starter has some breaks towards the front on it and some fins missing as well as a bolt for the starter housing. I will note that the saw was oiling when I had it running. It will come with all of the bars and chains that are pictured. I got them as well with the saw. I do not know if they are all for the 051, but all look like large mount Stihl bars. the chains will need some oil. They have some surface rust but should clean up. If you do not want the bars or chains I will make a better deal for just the power head alone. I have done all the testing I can do on this beast as I have extremely bad arthritis in my back, and I am not pulling on this thing anymore. What you see pictured is what you will be getting. Once again, the saw is being sold as is as pictured for parts or repairs only with no returns. The bars & chains will be shipped separately from the power head.
