Description
Vintage Very Rare 1930's Wyandotte Pressed Steel Ambulance (Cat.#0396). The wheels are made of wood, in very good condition and the axles are straight. "Ambulance" painted on both sides is well visible. It is missing the back hatch. Wouldn't you love to know the actual history of the child (children) that have played with this toy. The reason this Wyandotte pressed still is so "Very Rare" is because unlike other pressed still Ambulances, notice how the cab is built separate from the patient compartment, whereas the others are a one piece body. Look at the pictures from the bottom view to see the patient compartment attaches via twisted tabs. It was made in 1930's in Wyandotte, Michigan, made of pressed steel. The wheels are made of wood, in very good condition and the axles are straight. It has obviously been well played with, given the chips & scratches on the paint job. It measures 12"x 3 1/2"x 3 1/2". "Ambulance" painted on both sides is well visible. It is missing the back hatch. Wouldn't you love to know the actual history of the child (children) that have played with this toy.
