Dug out in Kurland This jacket is a Russian military field jacket in the EMR (Единая Маскировочная Расцветка) camouflage pattern, also known as “Digital Flora.” It was captured by Ukrainian forces in Pokrovsk from a member of a Russian infiltration unit and later presented as a token of gratitude to a Latvian volunteer who had been supplying donated vehicles to Ukraine in support of its defense operations. The EMR pattern has been standard issue for the Russian Armed Forces since approximately 2008 and remains one of the most recognizable camouflage designs in active service, used widely across infantry and specialized units. Description: Camouflage Pattern: Russian EMR “Digital Flora” – a green digital pixelated pattern optimized for woodland and mixed-terrain environments. Design Features: Integrated hood with drawstring adjustment. Button-up front closure with protective storm flap. Two large front cargo pockets and smaller utility pockets. Adjustable cuffs with tab closures. Reinforced elbows for added durability. Mid-weight, durable fabric blend designed for sustained field use and moderate weather protection. Smooth olive-green inner lining, likely nylon or polyester, offering added comfort and partial water resistance. Size Information: The inner tag reads “54-5” , corresponding to the Russian military sizing system: 54 = Chest circumference approximately 108–112 cm (42.5–44 in) . 5 = Height range 182–188 cm (6'0"–6'2") . Thus, the jacket is intended for an individual of tall stature with a medium-to-large build . Provenance: As noted, this jacket was seized by Ukrainian forces in Pokrovsk during combat operations involving Russian infiltration elements . Following its capture, it was gifted to a Latvian volunteer as an expression of appreciation for his contributions in delivering donated vehicles to Ukrainian units .
