Winchester Logo Butt Plate - fits Models 61, 62, 67, 69, 69A, 72 and others - New: New Old Stock hard plastic butt plate. OAL = 4.820 inches Width = 1.515 inches. Mounting Holes 3.123 inches center to center. Butt plate is 0.362 inches thick at the heel and 0.280 inches at the toe. Stamped M-72 on the back. The early model 61 rifles had steel butt plates and Winchester went to these hard plastic plates in 1958. Winchester used this butt plate on the model 62 starting in 1935. Winchester used this butt plate on the model 72 from 1938 - 1959. May require final edge fitting to your stock. The sale, time and delivery were great, shipping was normal but quality was sub standard. Couldn’t use the product , screw holes weren’t beveled, width and length where going to need work, but one side was to narrow. Still looking for a butt plate.
Looks like factory brand new value is pretty good and of course the quality back in the day was good in the appearance of it looks like it is brand new so hopefully it fits all my rifle. Stop pretty good.
As described and exactly what I needed. Had a minor issue with the shipping but the seller rectified matter quickly and reasonably!! Would happily buy more parts in the future if I need them.
